Three men arrested in Mt. Vernon for selling marijuana

JEFFERSON COUNTY — The strong odor of cannabis coming from a Mt. Vernon residence led to the arrest of three men Thursday on charges of possession with the intent to deliver.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was attempting to serve civil papers at a residence in the 1200 block of South 23rd Street in Mt. Vernon, when he detected the strong odor of cannabis coming from inside.

The deputy called for backup and officers with the Mt. Vernon Police Department and detectives with the Joint Narcotics Unit quickly responded to assist. A search of the residence reportedly revealed 5-ounces of marijuana, multiple scales, packaging materials and multiple marijuana pipes.

Inside the house Police discovered around 5 ounces of Marijuana, multiple scales, packaging materials, and multiple Marijuana pipes. Michael Allison, 21-year-old Kiaen J Allison, and 18-year-old Tristan Allison were all taken into custody for possession of Cannabis with the intent to deliver. They are being held in the Jefferson County Jail, awaiting the formal setting of charges and bail.
