MOUNT VERNON – Glendell “Gimby” D. Fullerton, 59, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:25 pm November 26, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born August 16, 1964 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Merle and Beverly (Lisenby) Fullerton.

Glendell is survived by his mother, Beverly Fullerton of Mount Vernon, Illinois; sons, Ryne Fullerton and wife, Kathy of Albion, Illinois, Britt Fullerton and wife, Hannah of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Dylan Fullerton and wife, Hayley of Ashley, Illinois, Christian Fullerton of Mount Vernon, Illinois, and Derek Fullerton of Nashville, Illinois; daughters, Holli Revelo and husband, Justin of Troy, Illinois, Cat Fullerton of Gay, Illinois, and Cassie Fullerton of Ashley, Illinois; grandchildren, Norah, Leo, Hudson, Emmeline, Hadassah, Evelyn, Parker, Tinsley, and Lyla Fullerton, and Kenton Revelo; brother, Lendell Fullerton and wife, Carla of Salem, Illinois; sisters, Daphna Cooley and husband, Tim and Lavonda Irwin, both of Brentwood, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

Glendell was preceded in death by his father, Merle Fullerton; grandparents; and granddaughter, Hope Fullerton.

Mr. Fullerton attended Logan Street Baptist Church along with many other churches in the area. He was an avid Saint Louis Cardinal and Kentucky Wildcat fan. Glendell worked as a radio broadcaster for many years. Above all, Glendell was proud of his family and loved them deeply.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at Logan Street Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Pastor Tim Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Glendell’s honor to the Fullerton Family in care of Britt Fullerton.
