FRANKLIN COUNTY — Illinois State Police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that claimed one person’s life and injured another on northbound Interstate 57 near milepost 68 between West Frankfort and Benton Wednesday morning.

ISP responded to the crash shortly after 10 a.m. One person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Another person was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
