MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon is partnering with J&C E-Recycling from Belleville to host an electronics recycling event Saturday. It will run from 9 a.m. to noon at 1201 Casey Ave.

Accepted items include:

• Computer towers, parts, and accessories
• Cell phones and battery backups
• Printers, power supplies, and electronic motors
• Hard drives, mice, and keyboards
• Laptops, speakers, and modems
• DVD/VHS players and small appliances
• Lawn tools, lawnmowers, microwaves, and more
• Up to two televisions per household will be accepted.

Items not accepted include light bulbs, smoke detectors, propane tanks, and carbon dioxide detectors.
