MCLEANSBORO – A pickup truck turned off of Old Coal Mine Road and into the path of a semi with trailer on Illinois 14 in Hamilton County Thursday. 

According to Hamilton County Sheriff Tracy Lakin, the semi driver was not injured. The driver of the pickup had to be extricated by the McLeansboro Fire Department and was taken by ambulance to Hamilton Memorial Hospital to be airlifted to another facility.

The condition of the pickup truck’s driver was not known at the time we received this information from the sheriff.
