MT. VERNON, IL — The Mt. Vernon Police Department / Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team served 3 search warrants on Thursday in the 1100 block of S 12th St, 1000 block of Gilbert St, and 400 block of Short St.

All 3 were separate investigations conducted by the MVPD general criminal detectives and MVPD / JCSO joint narcotics division. Hard drugs were located at all 3 locations and stolen property at one of the locations.
