Brenda S. England, age 70 of Centralia formerly of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Brenda was born on December 31, 1954 in Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Louise (Borcherding) Quandt. She marred David C. England on June 8, 1974 in Salem, Illinois and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2012.

Survivors include her sons; David England and wife Melissa of New Douglas, Illinois, and Mark England and wife Lydia of Salem; two daughters, Stephanie Hathaway of Missouri, and Kimberly Edgeworth and husband Chad of Iuka; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Cynthia Petrea and husband Richard of Iuka; a brother, Doug Quandt and special friend Wanda of Salem; a sister in-law, Tami Quandt of Salem; and special friends, Kathy Bache of Centralia, and Shirley from Centralia Estates. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Louise; her husband, David; a son in-law, Eric Hathaway; a grandson, Hunter Joseph Hathaway; and a brother, Mike Quandt.

Brenda worked for several years as a cook. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, playing BINGO, traveling, meeting new friends at Centralia Estates, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

There will be a visitation for Brenda England held on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the activities department at Centralia Estates and will be received at the funeral home.
