SALEM, IL — A car slammed into the H&R Block building in Salem Tuesday afternoon, injuring two people.

Police say 78-year-old Alice Mabrey accidentally hit the gas while parking, striking 67-year-old Debra Nix, who was walking nearby. The car crashed into the wall, damaging part of the building and a bathroom inside. Both women were taken to Salem Township Hospital.

No citations were issued, as the crash happened on private property.
