MT. VERNON – A Mt. Vernon man was arrested on gun and drug charges after the Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office joint Narcotics Division served a search warrant in the 1200 block of South 27th Street Thursday afternoon.

During the investigation, 48-year-old Stephen Matthew Warren was taken into custody.

During the search, 15 firearms, ammunition, multiple quantities of methamphetamine, and drug equipment were located and seized as evidence.

Warren was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail for Aggravated Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine 5-15 grams and Possession of Firearms with a revoked FOID.
